In Mathematics, our goal is not just to help every student to grow in the understanding of concepts and the mastery of processes, but also to feel empowered by their skills and abilities and to see the joy and beauty in Mathematics. We use rich, discovery learning techniques, contemporary interactive digital tools and data driven reflection to enhance the experience of the learner. Merici teachers maintain high expectations and the belief that with rigorous application and the right instruction, students will surprise themselves with what they can learn and do.
The link and extension of mathematics concepts into Digital technologies is realised in the Year 7 Educational Engagement Program, Year 8 Digital technologies project and Year 9 and 10 electives.
