Students develop their intercultural understanding and respect for others and prepare to meet the challenges of an increasingly globalised world through the study of a second language at school. Merici students select from Italian, Spanish, French and Mandarin and engage in learning by listening, reading, speaking and writing in the classroom, guest speakers and through visits to restaurants and cultural sites where they can test their skills. Students have opportunities to join overseas tours to immerse themselves in the culture and language of their studies.
